Kangaroo's jump through Belgrade

Nightlife Belgrade
In case you feel like you would rather roam around Belgrade than actually committing yourself to just one neighborhood, this page is basically made for you. There are many places all around Belgrade that are worth trying out, but that might be quite difficult if you are on a tight schedule, so we will talk you through some of the hidden little gems of Belgrade, that are more or less central and easy to reach. With plenty of space to improvise and get off the beaten path, chances of tasting Belgrade as a local are much greater.

Coffee Laboratory is exactly what it sounds like - a café made to look like a lab. It is quite unique when it comes both to its interior design and the way everything here is served, in all kinds and size of test tubes. It is one of the best places in the city to get a good cup of coffee, a healthy smoothie or even a bagel for a breakfast to get you going for your treasure hunt around Belgrade. This is an especially convenient place for a morning coffee if you are staying in one of our New Belgrade apartments, so just something to keep in mind.

Mandarina Cake Shop is a place of artisan confectionery products, a place where you want to go to let all your senses enjoy, but most of all, your palate. Mandarina Cake Shop is one of a kind when it comes to high quality sweets, from gorgeous cakes to amazingly tasty truffles, and all that you can imagine in between. Krsto Radovic is the creative mind and hands behind each of his creations, and every one of them seems more beautiful than the last. It will be extremely difficult for you to decide what to order, as everything they have on display is nothing less than gorgeous. If you think we are definitely over-reacting, don’t believe us and go to Mandarina in Grachanichka Street yourself and dare not to be astonished.

Miner’s pub
is ranked No.1 on TripAdvisor for Nightlife in Belgrade, and there is a very good reason for it. This place is a haven for all beer aficionados, it is more or less constantly filled with young people from all around the world and it can be even considered a cultural spot, because they often organize all kinds of urban art exhibitions. They offer over fifty types of beer from all around the world, service is great, the staff is kind and will gladly help you pick out a beer that suits your taste. Awesome vibe, even better beer and a great chance to take a little break.

It is not likely that you will find Sinnerman Club on your own, simply because it is located on a rooftop, which in itself is a rarity in Belgrade. Sinnerman can be found on the last floor of Dom Sindikata building, right in the middle of Nikola Pashic Square, one of the Belgrade’s biggest squares. From the club’s terrace you can see the whole of the square along with a big fountain, and the view stretches on farther, toward the House of Parliament, Pioneer’s Park and King Alexander’s Street. This is THE spot if you want to catch some sun on the spring afternoon, and you can even get something delicious to eat, as they serve food as well. There are live music nights, so if music on a rooftop is your sort of thing (and whose isn’t), you should definitely dedicate one night to Sinnerman.

Ptica Jazz Club is one of the Belgrade’s jazz joint with rich history. Located in Dalmatinska Street, very close to St. Mark’s Church , Ptica actually has a world that is completely its own. Intimate atmosphere can almost transport you back to New Orleans in time when jazz was everything that most players had, so they played it with their souls. This jazz club can offer you a beautiful night filled with smooth jazz melodies, if nothing else, to get you warmed up for bar hopping or a dance club. One thing is certain though, Ptica will not leave you indifferent.

Bar Central is one of the places in the city to drink a good cocktail, like a really good cocktail. Bar Central is where you go when you want to get ready for a night out, then end up staying there because the ambiance is vibrant and those cocktails just look to appealing. Some of the best cocktail barmen can be found in Central and you can tell that by both the taste and the look of the cocktails that could be on a runway, if there ever was a runway for cocktails. The number of the cocktails that you can order is around 600. Just bear in mind that this is the real deal, so alcohol flows freely and you should take pauses while enjoying the luscious cocktails, just so that tomorrow you can remember where the Bar Central actually is (King Peter’s Street or Kralja Petra 59).
