Going out in Dorcol

Just as when it comes to cultural life, night life in Dorcol is just as or even richer in its variety and content. Whatever music genre is your cup of tea, how ever you enjoy spending your nights, chances are, you will find your spot in Dorcol.

First thing to mention might as well be BITEF Theater, the most unusual and even a bit intriguing in its concept. On its scene, you will find young inspired artists that push the limits in creating innovative artistic expression, and they are becoming better at it with each passing year. The theatre itself is located in a renovated Evangelistic church, which was never done before in Belgrade.

On the other side, there is another place that stands between our sections Culture and Going out - Parobrod (steam-boat).This space, used for all kinds of interactive content, such as art exhibitions, concerts and jazz repertoire beloved by all who visit DasBoot, the bar that is a part of Parobrod concept. Whenever you come here (within working hours, of course) you will find something happening, and most of the time, this culture institution that came to be very appreciated in the last couple of years, will surprise you. You will easily recognise the entrance, as it is located on the corner of Kapetan Mishina Street in a building that is quite monumental and memorable.

Now, when it comes to going out in Dorcol, if you prefer night clubs to cultural spaces every now and then, nieghborhood has much to offer. First in line is The Tube, one of the most visited clubs in this area. Name The Tube came from the special interior design, because the whole space is quite narrow and long, with hundreds of neon lights all around. Belgrade youth loves this club, maybe because it is one of those places where you can go, jump around 'till the sun comes up and make memories every time.

Kenozik is a novelty in Belgrade nightlife, but it seems to be quite promising, as they opened their season with a three day party. This club is somewhat underground place, as it is located in an old abandoned beer factory that had a makeover. This means huge space, unusual lighting, awesome, kinda scary and dark atmosphere and paintings on somewhat damaged factory walls. With the program that Kenozoik is preparing for its guests, it seems the will develop into something more, a spot where culture and nightlife meet.

Hangar follows the interior design of old abandoned places raised from the ashes, which has become somewhat of a trend in Belgrade. Going out in Dorcol may bring you to some of those places, and you will not be sorry. Hangar has a huge area for partying at its disposal, and that space is more often than not teaming with life. Techno music is very popular here, and regularly, they bring DJ guests from all over Europe. If you have a taste for ambiance described above, you should definitely go to Port Belgrade, where the club is located.

Blaznavac can be considered both a cafe and a great place for going out, simply because its potentials are numerous. Vivacious colors, eclectic interior and exterior design, great coctails and young company is what recommends Blaznavac. Old Belgrade house has been redecorated so that it would make quite a spacious outdoor space, which is crazily popular during warm weather and a cafe on two levels, that even has a huge sitting area in one corner for bigger company. If you prefer that hipster, quite comfortable and beautiful ambiance when going out in Dorcol, then Blaznavac will not disappoint.

Last, but most certainly not least is Skadarlija, bohemian quarter, about which you will probably hear much when you come to Belgrade. Many of the famous and worldly renowned Serbians partied here throughout the centuries, and this tradition continues today. This little street is in the heart of the city, and on its cobblestones you will find many different cafes, restaurants and clubs, but some cultural sites as well. Skadarlija is one of the most popular tourist sites in the capital, this is where people from all around the world come to experience Serbian way of having fun, and ordinarily, they are not disappointed.
